Councillor profiles

Gail Pilkington
I live on the High Street with my husband Tim and our two teenagers Ella (17) and Jamie (15). We have owned the house for twenty years this year and have lived in Little Shelford from 1995-2003 and from 2011, the intervening years were spent in The Netherlands. I regularly attend All Saints Little Shelford and work for the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion. I am a keen dog walker and will often be seen on the Wale throwing a tennis ball for my dog Otis, my other interests include reading, crochet and a Friday night drink in The Navigator.
On the Parish Council I am responsible for planning, I work closely with our excellent Parish secretary, Penny and we are hoping to expand the team to include Rachel Bateman another parish councillor. I also have a very keen interest in Great Shelford Library as professionally I am a qualified librarian. As well as being on the Parish Council I am also vice-chair of the Little Shelford Entertainments Committee and each year develop my waitress skills at the SSYI Big Breakfast.
